ASHLEY LYNCH
BRANDING + EVENTS
I am a recent graduate from Chapman University with a degree in strategic and corporate communication with minors in graphic design and public relations. My degree in strategic and corporate communication has provided me with important presentation skills and a greater understanding theoretical communication. Also, I have discovered a newfound passion for design, learning adobe design software such as InDesign , Illustrator, and Photoshop in my graphic design classes. My education in public relations was valuable to me as it improved my writing skills immensely and taught me how to write press releases in APA format. I believe my education coupled with my internship experiences that enable me to produce events for clients that achieve goals, create lasting relationships, and unforgettable memories.
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do” ~ Steve Jobs
I have aspired to be an event designer ever since I was eight and watched the major motion film, The Wedding Planner. In high school, I was class president and enjoyed the responsibilities of planning assemblies, homecoming, prom, class field trips, and graduation. During my internships in the entertainment industry I loved the brainstorming process of arranging every detail of events as well as seeing ideas come to life and bring people together. I also learned while interning that I prefer the creative freedom of organizing corporate events as opposed to weddings. Additionally, my personal communication competence, design skills, passion, and determination are all valuable traits of an event designer.
